Instructor: Sarah Preusker
Sarah Preusker is the first reflexologist authorized to teach the basics in the Manzanares Method of Reflexology. Sarah received her reflexology certification from the New York Open Center in 2001, and the American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB), shortly thereafter. In 2013 she achieved proficiency in the Manzanares Method. Sarah has had a long career as a full-time reflexologist in NYC and Chicago. She is currently the lead reflexologist for an NIH study on reflexology and cancer. Prior to this, Sarah was a professional classical ballet dancer. Goals. Students attending this seminar will learn the Manzanares Method of Reflexology biopsy research and press and slide technique. Each class will also cover different aspects of anatomy, and students will learn the associated reflexology locations and deposits.
Course Format. There is a strong focus on hands-on work and a combination of lecture, student exchanges and learning the reflex areas by drawing on each others feet.
Who Can Attend. Classes are open to all health practitioners, wellness professionals and educators interested in contemporary science-based education in reflexology: reflexologists, massage therapists, holistic bodyworkers, nurses and physical therapists.
Reflexology practitioners will be able to incorporate the Manzanares Method techniques into their existing model of reflexology to enhance career, confidence and outcomes in client care.
It is optional to attend one class or multiple classes.
You will receive credit from this seminar towards your proficiency certification in the Manzanares Method.
